Evan Parker, Matt Wright, John Edwards - Trance Map+ [ABCD]

We at RouteStock and The Hot Tin are very pleased to present our very first [ABCD] Artists Behind Closed Doors live event here at The Hot Tin that will be streamed to you live on 4th Aug 8pm BST

We are honoured to have at The Hot Tin the legendary saxophonist Evan Parker along with the esteemed turntablist and electronic musician Matt Wright. They are joined by the incredible bassist John Edwards.

The night will unfold starting with a show specific DJ set from our resident RadioRouteStock DJ Tom P - (Call It Anything - Sundays 10am) https://www.mixcloud.com/RadioRouteStock/

We will then introduce you to the Trance Map+ ensemble and proceed to play as it were, as Evan describes "two sides of an LP" - each side will be separated by an intermission with apt archive footage to keep you entertained and finally the icing on the cake will be a live interactive Q+A with you the audience, Evan Parker, Matt Wright and John Edwards.

Evan Parker and Matt Wright met in 2008 and out of their first studio sessions developed Trance Map, an album of over an hour that mixes field recordings, samples from cassettes, turntable scratching and the live processing of Evan's relentlessly evolving saxophone lines. Since that time the project has developed to include live events across Europe, often involving guest performers such as Toma Gouband, Peter Evans, Hannah Marshall and Barry Guy. A US version of the group (featuring Evan Parker, Matt Wright, Mark Nauseef, Adam Linson and Ned Rothenberg) performed at the Big Ears Festival in Knoxville in late March 2019. Trance Map+ / Crepuscule in Nickelsdorf (featuring Evan Parker, Matt Wright, Spring Heel Jack and Adam Linson, mixed and mastered by Matt Wright) was released on Intakt in summer/autumn 2019.
