SCREEN PRINTING WORKSHOP – CARLA VAN DER MEER

Faversham based Illustrator / Fashion designer Carla van der Meer (also known as Poppekins) will be at The Hot Tin on Saturday 14th July as part of Faversham Open House.

Carla will be giving the public an opportunity to try out screenprinting some cute postcards to take home.

She will also have some of her colourful posters, prints and postcards available to purchase on the day.

Carla van der Meer is a Dutch Illustrator / Fashion Designer based in Faversham since 2016.

In her own words:

I launched my illustration business called Poppekins over 2 years ago, just after the arrival of my first child as I needed a creative outlet.

I've always loved drawing, and after 20 years of working as a fashion designer it's a joy to be illustrating again.

As you can see, I absolutely love colour so I find creating the vibrant prints and family portraits such fun!

I offer ready made prints and cards, but also make lots of custom work such as portraits, invites and just about anything!

Being part of the Faversham Exhibition Collective is pushing me to try out new things so I'd like to put my hand to screen printing next.
